ATTORNEY GENERAL TONG JOINS COALITION OPPOSING TRUMP ADMINISTRATION RULE TO DENY CRITICAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE TO IMMIGRANTS
Attorney General William Tong joined a coalition of 23 states led by New York Attorney General Letitia James and District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine today in submitting a comment letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) opposing a new rule proposal that would deny housing assistance to mixed-status families that include any undocumented immigrants.

Attorney General William Tong joined 22 other state attorneys general today in filing a comment letter expressing formal opposition to a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed rule to unlawfully limit state authority to protect our own water.

ATTORNEY GENERAL TONG FILES SUPREME COURT BRIEF TO PROTECT LGBTQ+ EMPLOYEES FROM DISCRIMINATION
(Hartford, CT) — On the heels of Pride Month and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots that began the modern gay rights movement, Attorney General William Tong joined Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, New York Attorney General Letitia James and 19 other attorneys general in filing an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court arguing that federal anti-discrimination laws protect LGBTQ+ employees. The coalition will be filing the brief in three cases pending before the court that involve workers being fired based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

Attorney General William Tong today joined a multistate lawsuit led by California, to oppose the Trump Administration’s final rule that undermines Connecticut's 4,300 direct homecare workers who provide services to 15,000 Medicaid recipients each month through the state's Medicaid personal care services program.
