Whistleblower retaliation complaints

What is whistleblower retaliation

Whistleblower retaliation complaints are handled by the Office of Public Hearings (OPH).

"Whistleblowing" is reporting certain behavior such as corruption or mismanagement to the Auditors of Public Accounts, the Attorney General, or similar entities. State law prohibits state agencies, quasi-public agencies, and large state contractors from retaliating against their employees for whistleblowing.

If you have been retaliated against for being a whistleblower, you can file a complaint with OPH within 90 days of the retaliation.
