The Collections of the CT SHPO Museums
Overview
Each of the four CT SHPO Museums has unique collections documenting 400 years of Connecticut’s rich history. Documents, objects, books, photographs, artwork, even historic buildings comprise the thousands of items in our care. The Collections are used to supplement and help visualize the stories of the people and places of Connecticut’s past.
Our collections are available online through Connecticut Collections. This cloud-based Collections Management Program is used by dozens of museums and historical societies in Connecticut. It is made available through the Connecticut League of Museums with funding from Connecticut Humanities. Not everything in our collections is available, but we are working to place more collections online, so check back often!
