Gov. Malloy: Cannondale Expands Operations, Establishes Wilton Headquarters
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State Bond Commission will consider a $3 million loan to assist Cannondale Sports Unlimited (CSU) establish a new headquarters and add 75 new jobs in Wilton. The company will handle marketing, research and development, and product design in approximately 50,000 square feet of leased space in Wilton's I-Park.

Gov. Malloy: State Issues Action Plans for $82.5 Million in Federal Storm Sandy Recovery Funds
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the state has released two action plans describing how a total of $82.5 million in federal relief funds will be expended to address the critical needs of Connecticut residents affected by Storm Sandy.

Gov. Malloy: $10 Million Awarded to Clean Up Brownfield Sites
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Commissioner Catherine Smith, today announced that DECD awarded $10,507,339 in loans and grants to remediate nine brownfields located throughout the state. Clinton, Hartford, Middletown, New Haven, Vernon, Waterbury, and Watertown will use the funding to clean up the polluted properties and redevelop the sites for affordable housing and mixed use development.

Gov. Malloy Tours Growing Nutrigenomics Startup in Hartford

Malloy today toured the Hartford headquarters of ThinkitDrinkit, a recipient of state assistance through the Small Business Express Program (EXP) and the Subsidized Training and Employment Program (STEP UP) which have helped the startup company grow steadily over the last year and hire more than 20 new employees.

Monday: Gov. Malloy Signs Legislation Encouraging the Increase of Connecticut Exports into Foreign Markets and Growth of Local Businesses
On Monday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a bill signing ceremony at Test Logic, a small business located in Middletown, where he will sign legislation (Public Act 13-56) that allows the state to prioritize economic assistance to certain businesses that are pursuing global commerce and will help get more Connecticut products into foreign markets.

Gov. Malloy Tours Small Business in Bridgeport
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today toured Byrne Woodworking, a manufacturer of high-end custom cabinetry and millwork, one year after the company received a Small Business Express (EXP) Grant. The business, at 170 Herbert St., Bridgeport, was able to hire three full-time cabinetmakers, retain seven jobs, and break ground on a 1,800-square-foot expansion.

Gov. Malloy: Navigators Group Moving Corporate Headquarters from NY to CT
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that The Navigators Group, Inc., an international specialty insurance holding company, will move its corporate headquarters and additional operations from New York to Stamford, Connecticut. The project is expected to create 200 jobs in the state within the next five years.

Gov. Malloy Appoints Doug Dalena as General Counsel
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he is appointing Doug Dalena to serve as General Counsel in the Office of the Governor. Dalena currently works in the office as Deputy General Counsel. He joined the Office of the Governor in 2015.
