Wednesday: Gov. Malloy Holds News Conference Touting Benefits of Cleaner, Cheaper & More Reliable Energy for Businesses, Makes Announcements on Emergency Management Funding in Barkhamsted & Thomaston
On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Department of Energy & Environmental Protection Commissioner Daniel Esty will visit Carla’s Pasta, Inc. in South Windsor for a tour of the business, which is undergoing an expansion and creating more jobs after changing to a cleaner, cheaper and more reliable fuel alternative.

Gov. Malloy: $121 Million Released for High-Speed Rail Program
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and the U.S. Department of Transportation today announced the release of $120.9 million in FRA funding to Connecticut to advance the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield (NHHS) Rail Program. The federal funding will be matched by $141.9 million in state funding. Enhanced intercity rail service is expected to start in 2016.

Wednesday: Gov. Malloy Holds News Conference on Construction of Jackson Labs, Visits CT Aero Tech School
On Wednesday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy, University of Connecticut President Susan Herbst, UConn Health Center Executive Vice President for Health Affairs Frank Torti, and Jackson Laboratory Vice President for Advancement Mike Hyde will hold a news conference at the UConn Health Center campus, where twelve buildings will begin demolition to make room for the construction of the new Jackson Laboratory facility.
