Gov. Malloy: Leading Metal Fishining Company Will Expand and Create Jobs in New Britain
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Marsam Metal Finishing Co., a leading source for metal finishing, is undergoing a $2.5 million expansion project in New Britain that will allow the company to increase its operations to meet growing demand and add 25 new jobs to its current workforce of 34 employees.

Gov. Malloy: New State Ignition Interlock Law Will Help Prevent Accidents Caused by Impaired Drivers
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by state lawmakers, public safety officials and advocates, today held a bill signing ceremony to commemorate the ratification of a new law that makes a number of changes to deter driving under the influence (DUI) and strengthen the state’s ignition interlock requirements by authorizing the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to administratively require the devices be installed on cars of first-time DUI offenders.

On Friday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference at Mickey Finn’s – a clothing retailer located in Berlin – to remind residents about the state’s upcoming “Sales Tax-Free Week” when most items of clothing and footwear selling for less than $300 will be exempt from the state sales and use tax.
