Gov. Malloy: Fiscal Year Ends With $121 Million Surplus, Will Be Deposited Into Rainy Day Fund
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Connecticut ended Fiscal Year 2014 with an estimated $121.3 million dollar surplus, bringing the state’s Rainy Day Fund to a four-year high of $392 million.

Gov. Malloy: State Veterans' ID Makes Accessing Benefits and Services More Convenient
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today joined military veterans, local business leaders and state officials to promote the Connecticut Veterans’ ID program, a joint initiative between the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) that gives veterans an option to place an American flag symbol on a state-issued license or identity card to designate his or her veteran’s status.

Gov. Malloy: State to Develop Plan to Improve Children's Mental Health Services

Malloy today announced that the state Department of Children and Families (DCF) will partner with families, youths, communities and experts to develop a plan to improve mental health services for children. Gov. Malloy: Severe Cold Weather Will Again Impact the State Over the Next Few Days
With bitter cold temperatures expected again over the next few days, Governor Dannel P. Malloy has reactivated the state’s Severe Cold Weather Protocol, directing the Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS), the Department of Social Services (DSS), the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), and the Department of Housing (DOH) to coordinate with 2-1-1 and Connecticut’s network of shelters to ensure that the state’s most vulnerable people are protected from the severe cold weather.
