  Joined by lawmakers and advocates, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today held a ceremonial bill signing in Fairfield to commemorate final passage of legislation, Public Act 13-183, which requires that certain foods intended for human consumption that are entirely or partially genetically engineered to be labeled as such.

Malloy will visit the Connecticut Hydroponic Farm in East Hartford for an opportunity to meet with its owner and view repairs that have been made since it sustained severe damages from February’s blizzard, which brought over three feet of snow to parts of the state and damaged the farm’s greenhouses.
