Gov. Malloy Orders All Nonessential Second-Shift State Employees to Not Report to Work Today
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he has ordered all second-shift state employees who are designated as non-essential to stay home on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in response to winter storm conditions across the state. State employees are encouraged to contact their supervisors for further guidance.

Gov. Malloy: State Delivers Road Salt to Additional Towns and Cities
Governor Dannel P. Malloy said today that 22 additional cities and towns have received road salt this week under a Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) program that was recently set-up to replenish municipal salt supplies diminished over a harsh 2013-14 winter season.

Gov. Malloy Announces Historic Agreement to Secure Long-Term Commitment from United Technologies Corp. to Connecticut
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and United Technologies Chairman & CEO Louis Chênevert today announced an agreement under which UTC will invest up to $500 million to upgrade and expand its aerospace research, development and manufacturing facilities over the next five years. During the same time period, UTC expects to invest up to $4 billion in research and other capital expenditures in the state. The agreement is expected to have an impact on more than 75,000 jobs in the state.

Gov. Malloy: New Haven Line Upgrade Will Double Electrical Supply and Prevent Future Power Failures
