Gov. Malloy: Q-Bridge Project to Increase Capacity and Reduce Congestion on I-95 Between New Haven and Branford is Ahead of Schedule
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) Commissioner James P. Redeker, today toured the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program following a major traffic shift, completed over the weekend, of all southbound travel onto the temporary lanes of the new Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge. The I-95 southbound traffic shift marks the completion of Stage 2B construction of NHHC and the start of Stage 3 construction - two months ahead of the original schedule.

Gov. Malloy: Quality Affordable Housing is a Key Component of Economic Development
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the state awarded U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Small Cities grants totaling $11,850,000 to 26 Connecticut cities and towns for affordable and senior housing, economic development, and other local revitalization projects.

Gov. Malloy Selects Michael Cantor to Serve as Chairperson of Connecticut Innovations

Malloy today announced that he has appointed Michael Cantor of West Hartford to serve as chairperson of Connecticut Innovations (CI), the quasi-public agency charged with growing Connecticut's economy by making strategic capital and other investments that encourage the development of high-tech industries within the state, such as energy, biotechnology, information technology, and photonics.

Gov. Malloy: "Step Up" Workforce Training Program Broadened to Include Veterans of Any Age and Any War
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Connecticut Department of Labor (CTDOL) Commissioner Sharon M. Palmer, and state and local officials, today celebrated the passage of Public Act 13-63 – An Act Concerning the Definition of New Employee in the Unemployed Armed Forces Member Subsidized Training and Employment Program, which expands Connecticut's Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step Up) to include veterans who have served at least 90 days and were honorably discharged from the military.

Gov. Malloy’s Sandy Hook Advisory Commission Continues Discussions Friday on Public Safety and School Security

Monday: Gov. Malloy Signs Legislation Encouraging the Increase of Connecticut Exports into Foreign Markets and Growth of Local Businesses
On Monday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a bill signing ceremony at Test Logic, a small business located in Middletown, where he will sign legislation (Public Act 13-56) that allows the state to prioritize economic assistance to certain businesses that are pursuing global commerce and will help get more Connecticut products into foreign markets.
