  Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) is reminding all customers that the enrollment period for the COVID-19 Payment Program for both residential and non-residential customers is extended through at least February 9, 2021. Further, the Winter Protection Program, which protects eligible households against heat source shut-offs during the winter months, is also in effect from November 1, 2020 through May 1, 2021.

  The state Senate voted Friday to reappoint John W. "Jack" Betkoski III as one of three commissioners of Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA).The state House of Representatives also recently voted to reappoint Betkoski.

  Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) issued a ruling today finding that The Connecticut Light and Power Company d/b/a Eversource Energy (Eversource) and The United Illuminating Company (UI) each did not meet certain acceptable performance standards in preparing for, and responding to, Tropical Storm Isaias.
