Governor Nancy Wyman, and First Lady Cathy Malloy are applauding the State Senate for voting 36-0 today in favor of legislation that will codify into law specific practices the Malloy administration enacted in recent years in an effort to improve the processing of sexual assault evidence kits at the Connecticut Forensic Science Laboratory and ensure that victims are treated in a compassionate way throughout the process.

Today, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman and radio personality Brad Davis hosted the 11th annual Wall of Honor ceremony at the State Capitol in Hartford. Joined by Major General Thad Martin, Adjutant General of the Connecticut National Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Thomas J. Saadi, state officials, and military families, the event commemorates the Connecticut troops killed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since the 2001 terrorist attacks.
