• 5/28/2015 Lt. Gov. Wyman: Access Health CT Becomes First Exchange in Nation to Adopt Self-Sustaining Budget

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, Chair of the Board of Directors of Access Health CT (AHCT), and AHCT CEO Jim Wadleigh announced that next year Connecticut will have the first self-sustaining state healthcare exchange in the country. Today, at their monthly meeting, the AHCT Board adopted an operations budget that relies exclusively on revenue generated by the organization.

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make welcoming remarks at a forum on aging hosted by the Connecticut Department on Aging and the General Assembly Committee on Aging.  The panel discussion is in preparation for the White House Conference on Aging, a national conversation on programs and services for seniors, held in Boston on May 28, 2015. Department on Aging Commissioner Betsy Ritter and Committee on Aging co-chairs Senator Mae Flexer and Representative Joe Serra will be in attendance to discuss issues of importance with members of the public and caregivers.

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make welcoming remarks at the annual Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services International Recovery and Citizenship Conference. The two-day event brings policymakers, providers, and clients together for discussion on mental health and addiction services, strategy, and resources.

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will join Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Sean Connolly at the annual Hispanic American Veterans of CT annual Health and Benefits Symposium.  The event provides information and resources on housing, healthcare, and employment programs to Hispanic veterans and their families.

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, joined by radio personality Brad Davis, Major General Thad Martin, state officials, and military families gathered to recognize the 65 Connecticut service men and women on the Wall of Honor who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan since the terrorist attacks in 2001.
