• 6/23/2014 MONDAY: LT. GOVERNOR PARTICIPATES IN EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS EXERCISE, HONORS EAST HAMPTON SOLDIERS

  On Monday, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will join Governor Dannel P. Malloy at the annual Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection's Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security emergency preparedness exercise and press conference. This year, the two-day drill will simulate a Category 1 Hurricane and will test the coordination and response of all participating stakeholders.

  On Saturday morning, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will march in the annual Fairfield County African-American Caribbean Parade and Festival. In the evening, she will congratulate arts awardees at the International Festival of Arts and Ideas, and then make remarks at the Hispanic Health Council gala.

BYK is a Wallingford additives manufacturer that partnered with the Department of Economic and Community Development to expand, add jobs, and increase manufacturing capacity.

This bill, signed by Governor Dannel P. Malloy on June 11, establishes a grant program to promote the educational and social well-being of children, and addresses bullying to improve school climates.

  On Tuesday morning, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will tour the Hockanum Mill development. With state and federal investment and a partnership with the Town of Vernon, the project will remediate a brownfield and restore 10 existing structures to create 150,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space in Vernon.
