The proposed final decision approves the transaction, but places certain conditions on its approval.

  A Winsted dentist and his practice were ordered to pay $717,046 in restitution and civil penalties after a Superior Court judge found his conduct violated the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act, also known as CUTPA, Attorney General George Jepsen said today.

  A pediatric dental provider with practices in Milford and West Haven will pay more than $1.3 million to the state and federal government to resolve allegations that he submitted false claims to Connecticut's Medicaid program for x-ray services that did not comply with state law, Attorney General George Jepsen said today.

• 9/23/2016 AG Jepsen: Conn. Joins Antitrust Lawsuit over Allegations that Drug Company Illegally Blocked Generic Opioid Treatment from Market

  Connecticut, 34 other states and the District of Columbia filed a federal lawsuit yesterday afternoon against the makers of Suboxone, a prescription drug used to treat opioid addiction, alleging that the companies engaged in an illegal scheme to block generic competitors from entering the market and cause purchasers to pay artificially high prices, Attorney General George Jepsen said.

  Consumers in Connecticut will begin receiving account credits or checks on Tuesday, June 21, through the settlement of the eBook price-fixing lawsuit against Apple, Inc. brought by Attorney General George Jepsen and 32 other states in 2012.

  Two nationwide sham cancer charities have been dissolved and their president is banned from profiting from any charity fundraising in the future under a settlement reached with Connecticut, all 49 other states, the District of Columbia and the Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Jonathan A. Harris announced today.

  Attorney General George Jepsen today announced that, under a settlement with state attorneys general, Volkswagen will pay more than $570 million for violating state laws prohibiting unfair or deceptive trade practices by marketing, selling and leasing certain diesel vehicles equipped with illegal and undisclosed emissions defeat devices designed to circumvent emissions standards.
