Gov. Malloy Announces Jordan Scheff to Serve as Acting Commissioner of the Department of Developmental Services

Gov. Malloy: KPMG to Add 110 New Jobs in Stamford
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, plans to add 110 jobs over the next five years in a new Stamford office. The company recently signed a long-term lease and plans to renovate space in the former UBS building at 677 Washington Boulevard, which it expects to occupy next spring.

Gov. Malloy: Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of the Victims of the Capital Gazette Mass Shooting
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that – in accordance with a presidential proclamation directing flags to be lowered to half-staff throughout the country for one day in honor of the victims of the mass shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland – U.S. and state flags in Connecticut will fly at half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

Gov. Malloy Announces ‘Q Bridge’ to Be Lit Red, White, and Blue for Independence Day
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State of Connecticut will illuminate the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge in New Haven – informally known by residents as the Q Bridge – in red, white, and blue lights on the evenings of Tuesday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 4, in observation of Independence Day. Beacons capable of projecting light nearly six miles into the clear night sky will be lit until 1:00 a.m. during those nights.
