Gov. Malloy: Bond Commission Approves Funding for Development of Renaissance Place in Naugatuck
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State Bond Commission on Friday approved a grant of $500,000 to assist with architectural and engineering design services for a parking garage at the Renaissance Place development project in Naugatuck.

Gov. Malloy on Decision to Grant Mariano Cardoso a Stay of Removal
Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement after learning that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has granted Mariano Cardoso a temporary stay of removal. Last week, Governor Malloy wrote to immigration officials to request that they defer a deportation order for Cardoso, who is nearing completion of his engineering degree at Capital Community College in Hartford.

After Listening to Connecticut’s Citizens at Town Hall Meetings, Gov. Malloy Revises Tax Package, Reinstates Property Tax Credit to $300
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today reflected on his first 100 days in office and the 17 Town Hall Meetings he held across the state. Governor Malloy began those meetings on February 21 in Bridgeport and finished on April 12 in Middletown. Taking into account the concerns raised, Governor Malloy today announced that he would reinstate the property tax credit to $300. In addition, his revised tax package lessens the burden on the vast majority of the middle class.

Governor Malloy on Navy Announcement of $1.2 Billion to Electric Boat for Second Submarine Production
Governor Dannel P. Malloy this evening released the following statement in response to the U.S. Navy announcement that it has awarded $1.2 billion for the production of a second submarine by Electric Boat in FY 2011. In February, Governor Malloy sent letters to the Chairs and the Ranking Members of Congress’ Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense urging the full funding of two Virginia Class submarines.

Malloy will administer the oaths of office in two separate ceremonies to the Honorable Carmen Espinosa of Southington, who was recently confirmed to be a Judge of the Appellate Court, and the Honorable Lubbie Harper, Jr. of North Haven, who was recently confirmed to be a Justice of the Supreme Court.
