Gov. Malloy Congratulates Six Connecticut Companies That Received NASA Contracts to Develop Aerospace Technology and Assist With Space Exploration
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today praised the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announcement that it has awarded six Connecticut companies contracts valued at $125,000 each to conduct feasibility studies that could lead to advances in space exploration and aerospace technology.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Leads the Nation on High School Assessment
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced that Connecticut high school seniors lead the nation and are in a class of their own in reading, according to the results released today by the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). In math, the Class of 2013 remained in the top tier along with seniors from only four other states.

Gov. Malloy: Completion of New Haven Line Power Upgrade Project Means Safer, More Reliable Service for Connecticut Rail Commuters
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) Commissioner James Redeker and New Haven Mayor Toni Harp, today announced that nearly 80 percent of the overhead power lines on the New Haven commuter rail between Southport and Bridgeport have been replaced.

Gov. Malloy Announces Grants to Connect More Town Government Services to State's High Speed Internet Network

Malloy today announced that he has approved a series of grants to assist municipalities throughout Connecticut with the infrastructure costs associated with connecting their town governments to the state’s Nutmeg Network and extending its availability to include all municipal services.

Gov. Malloy: After 40 Years of Planning and Discussion, New Courthouse to be Built in Torrington
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State Bond Commission will vote Friday on the final funding elements necessary for the new Litchfield County Courthouse project in Torrington. Gov. Malloy Applauds House Passage of Bill Eliminating Nearly 1,000 Pages of State Regulations
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today applauded the Connecticut House of Representatives for adopting legislation he introduced that will eliminate nearly a thousand pages of state regulations that have been identified as obsolete, duplicative, excessively burdensome, or otherwise ineffective or unnecessary, in a major effort to make Connecticut’s regulations more streamlined, readable and user-friendly for citizens, especially small businesses.
