Gov. Malloy: Federal Approval Validates State's Effort to Eliminate Fraud
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Attorney General George Jepsen today announced that the federal government has validated the newly expanded False Claims Act, allowing the state to continue receiving a greater percentage of Medicaid dollars recovered than states without a federal approval.

Gov. Malloy: For First Time Ever, New Haven Line Off-Peak and Weekend Trains to Begin Full Half-Hourly Service
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by state Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) Commissioner James Redeker, New Haven Mayor Toni Harp, Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) Executive Vice President Joe Brennan and other state and local officials, today announced that off-peak weekday and weekend trains on the New Haven Line will begin running every half-hour between New Haven and New York City.

Gov. Malloy: State Brownfield Funding Will Help 11 Communities Take Important Step in Redevelopment Process
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) has awarded $1,698,400 in assessment grants to 11 municipalities to support property cleanup and advance the development of brownfield sites throughout the state.

Gov. Malloy Announces Investments in Commercial Districts to Attract Small Businesses and Grow Jobs
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that 13 municipalities across Connecticut are being awarded $5 million in grants to develop or improve town commercial districts in an effort to attract small businesses, grow jobs, and improve pedestrian access and livability in town centers. The grants are part of the state’s Main Street Investment Fund, which is administered through the state Department of Housing.

Gov. Malloy Signs Historic Agreement to Secure Long-Term Commitment from United Technologies Corp. to Connecticut
Sitting behind a desk used by Charles Lindbergh and joined by hundreds of employees from Pratt & Whitney, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today held a signing ceremony for Public Act 14-2, an agreement under which United Technologies Corp. (UTC) will invest up to $500 million to upgrade and expand its aerospace research, development and manufacturing facilities over the next five years. During the same time period, UTC expects to invest up to $4 billion in research and other capital expenditures in the state. The agreement is expected to have an impact on more than 75,000 jobs in Connecticut.

Gov. Malloy: Service on New Haven Line Reaches Important Milestone as On-Time Train Performance Continues to Improve
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that on-time train performance on the New Haven Line continues to improve. According to the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) and Metro-North Railroad (MNR), on-time train performance levels reached more than 95 percent in August.
