Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, UConn President Susan Herbst, and Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) President Mark Ojakian are strongly criticizing a decision announced today by President Trump that he will terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, putting the futures of over 800,000 young people across the country in jeopardy through no fault of their own. They are calling on Congress to take action as soon as possible to reverse this ill-conceived action.

Gov. Malloy And Lt. Gov. Wyman Announce Anthem And Connecticare Commit To Connecticut's Exchange
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today announced that Anthem and ConnectiCare Benefits, Inc. have committed to participate in Connecticut’s health insurance exchange, Access Health CT, for 2018. Approximately 100,000 Connecticut residents purchase coverage through Access Health CT.

Gov. Malloy Reminds Connecticut Residents the Deadline to Apply for Home Heating Assistance is May 1
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today is reminding Connecticut residents who need help paying their home heating bills for the 2016-2017 winter season that there is still time to apply for assistance under the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program. The general deadline for applications is May 1, 2017, however eligible households that are subject to a shut-off notice by a utility for heating bills have an extended deadline of May 15.

Gov. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Wyman Announce Impact of Graham-Cassidy Healthcare Bill on Connecticut
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today announced that according to a new analysis of the impact on Connecticut of the Graham-Cassidy bill – the latest version of Trumpcare – healthcare coverage for tens-of-thousands of the state’s residents could be threatened. Ultimately, as much as $2.2 billion in annual costs would be added to the state at full implementation in 2026, with total costs projected to reach almost $7 billion through fiscal year 2026.

Today, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, Chair of the Board of Access Health CT (AHCT), and Access Health CT CEO Jim Wadleigh announced the start of 2018 healthcare open enrollment. Connecticut residents can shop for, and enroll in, health insurance coverage through the state’s exchange from November 1 through December 22, 2017 online, in-person, or on the phone.

Gov. Malloy Announces Connecticut's Submission For Amazon's Second Headquarters
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Commissioner Catherine Smith today unveiled the State of Connecticut’s proposal for Amazon’s second headquarters, which includes sites in the Hartford and Stamford regions. Last month, Amazon announced that it was seeking a site for a second headquarters – known as “Amazon HQ2” – in North America, which will create tens of thousands of additional jobs.
