Gov. Malloy Commemorates Enactment of New Law on Life-Saving Allergy Treatments in Schools
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today held a bill signing ceremony for a new state law that allows trained school employees to administer the life-saving treatment epipenphrine (commonly known as “EpiPens”) for emergency first aid to any students who may experience a severe allergic reaction and were not previously known to have serious allergies.

Gov. Malloy: Funds Approved for Repair of South Branch Park River Channel in Newington, West Hartford & Hartford
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that $4.6 million for repairs and improvements to flood control infrastructure that protects hundreds of homes and properties along the South Branch of the Park River as it flows through the towns of Newington, West Hartford, and Hartford were approved this morning at a meeting of the State Bond Commission.

Gov. Malloy: Leading Precision Manufacturer Will Expand and Create Jobs in Bethel
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Memry Corporation, a leading manufacturer in the shape memory alloys industry, will expand its facility in Bethel to meet growing production demand. As part of the expansion project, Memry will add 76 new jobs to its current workforce of 153 employees by November 2017.

Gov. Malloy Says Enactment of New Law Will Protect Owners and Handlers of Domesticated Horses
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today held a ceremony at Locket’s Meadow Farm in Bethany with farmers and other stakeholders from the state’s agricultural community to commemorate the passage of a new state law that protects the owners and handlers of domesticated horses from a recent court ruling by making it clear in state statute that the animals do not possess a “naturally mischievous or vicious propensity.”
