On Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give remarks at a news conference hosted by State Representative Betty Boukus (D-Plainville), other lawmakers and representatives from the Connecticut Department of Veterans’ Affairs to announce this year’s collection of new, unwrapped clothing and other items that will be donated to the Connecticut State Veterans’ Home in Rocky Hill.

State Selects Moffatt & Nichol to Complete Deep Water Port Economic Development Study
The Office of Policy and Management – working with the Department of Economic and Community Development, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and local officials – today announced that it has selected leading global port and harbor advisor Moffat & Nichol to complete a comprehensive strategy study of the state’s three deep water ports, including a focused effort at growing maritime industry jobs.

Malloy today announced the names of his three remaining appointments to the Board of Regents for Higher Education, the newly reconstructed system that oversees the four regional state universities, the community college system and Charter Oak State College, which officially launches on January 1.

Gov. Malloy on Announcement of November Employment Figures for Connecticut
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today said that the news that Connecticut’s unemployment rate has dropped to the lowest level since June 2009 is “encouraging,” but stressed that “more needs to be done in the mission to reinvent Connecticut and stimulate job growth.”
