Gov. Malloy Announces STEAP Grants for Towns in Southeast Connecticut
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the towns of East Haddam, East Lyme, Preston and Voluntown have each been awarded Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) grants for various capital improvement projects.

Gov. Malloy: Investigation Continues, Additional Names Forwarded to Various Agency Heads
As a part of the ongoing investigation into the Federal Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP), Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Department of Social Services and the Office of Labor Relations have forwarded the names of an additional 10 state employees to various agency heads to commence their administrative reviews, bringing the total number of cases of possible fraud up to 34.

Gov. Malloy: Investigation into Possible Fraud Continues
As the investigation into the Federal Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) continues, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Office of Labor Relations (OLR) have forwarded the names of an additional 10 state employees to various agency heads to begin their administrative reviews, bringing the total number of instances of possible fraud up to 44.

Gov. Malloy Receives Witt Associates Independent Analysis of Connecticut’s Power Restoration Effort

Malloy today joined Witt Associates Vice President Charles Fisher to discuss his firm’s report on how Connecticut’s public utility companies and the state handled power restoration following the October Nor’easter. The report, which was completed on an expedited timeline, details a number of key findings and recommendations that will allow the utility companies to be better prepared for weathering the next storm.

Governor Malloy, Fairfield Officials, DOT Cut Ribbon on New Fairfield Metro Rail Station
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today joined Fairfield First Selectman Michael C. Tetreau and other state and local officials to mark the opening of the Fairfield Metro railroad station. The $90 million station, which will open for commuter service on Monday, December 5, also includes 1,400 parking spaces.

Monday: Gov. Malloy Attends TIGER III Announcement in Stamford, Participates in Supportive Housing Ceremony in Manchester
On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Senator Lieberman, Senator Blumenthal, Congressman Himes, Department of Transportation Commissioner Redeker, Stamford Mayor Pavia and members of the Stamford business community for a press conference to discuss the $10.5 million federal TIGER (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) Grant that was recently awarded to make improvements to the Stamford Transportation Center.
