How OPM manages our budgets
At the Budget and Financial Management Division we:
- Advise the Governor and State leaders on financial impacts of policies
- Build a budget plan that matches CT’s goals
- Coordinate with agencies to deliver services efficiently
We also work to:
- Create tools and guidelines for managing state finances
- Analyze policies, the CT economy, pensions, and revenue to guide decisions
- Plan and monitor major spending projects within legal limits
- Ensure that agencies follow laws and use funds effectively
