How we plan and track our money

We have special teams that help make sure we use our money wisely. We work together to create a spending plan and check that everything goes smoothly. Every month, we send out reports to show how much money we’ve earned and spent, and if things are going as planned.

We also make reports to help our leaders see if our budget is healthy and what might happen in the future. If towns in Connecticut have money problems, we have a special board that gives advice and checks their finances to help them get back on track.

Another team helps pay bills and keeps our state’s money safe and organized. All of us work together to make sure Connecticut’s finances stay strong and fair for everyone.
