The Municipal Finance Services (MFS) team of the Office of Finance helps local governments manage their money and stay compliant with the guidelines. We make sure towns report their finances correctly and stay financially healthy. Our team also:
- Creates simple steps for towns to file reports
- Provides guidance on financial matters
- Collects and shares municipal financial data
- Helps auditors use the Electronic Audit Reporting System (EARS)
- Works with tax and finance groups in Connecticut
- Publishes important documents for audits
