The Office of Finance is responsible for strengthening the financial practices of state agencies. Our teams work to:

  • Help agencies follow State Single Audit rules
  • Review town and city finances
  • Support the MARB and MFAC municipal oversight boards
  • Set rules and give training for Purchase of Service (POS) and Personal Service Agreements (PSA)
  • Run the state IT funding program
  • Set rules for how the state uses technology
  • Run the STARS reporting system
