Office of Labor Relations (OLR)

We help manage labor relations for Connecticut’s workforce

Our teams work to:

  • Represent the State in 17 CT employee bargaining units
  • Handle employee grievances. This includes arbitration hearings, and negotiate union contracts
  • Work on contracts, renew union contracts, and settle interest issues
  • Provide training and guidance on labor and employment issues
  • Create rules to keep contracts and work practices consistent
  • Guide state talks on pensions and health benefits

We help keep fair labor relations for State employees and State work.
