Monday: Governor Malloy Holds Media Availability on Route 11, Speaks at CPA Meeting- Keynotes Small Manufacturers Meeting
On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Congressman Joe Courtney, Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Daniel C. Esty, and Department of Transportation Acting Commissioner James P. Redeker for a meeting to discuss the future development of Route 11 in eastern Connecticut. Immediately following their meeting at 10:45, they will hold a brief media availability outside of the Governor’s office.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Receives More Than $1 Million From FEMA in Snow Disaster Assistance
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has obligated $1,046,295 in funding to the state of Connecticut to reimburse state agencies, local governments and eligible private nonprofit organizations for costs associated with the January 11-12 snowstorm. Additional funds will be obligated as FEMA continues to process applications.

Tuesday: Governor Malloy Holds Monthly Commissioners Meeting
On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold his monthly meeting with the commissioners of each state agency. Department of Correction Commissioner Leo C. Arnone will give a presentation on issues of importance related to his agency, followed by a presentation from State Librarian Kendall F. Wiggin, who will discuss state agency record retention laws.

On Friday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give remarks at the 50th anniversary celebration of Praxair Surface Technologies in North Haven. The company manufactures high-performance protective coatings used in aviation.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced a partnership between state and federal agencies designed to match qualified Connecticut small businesses with federal and state prime contractors to increase business opportunities. On June 23 at the University of Hartford, Connecticut small businesses will have an opportunity to meet with prime government contractors and federal and state contracting agencies.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Awarded $30 Million for New Haven-Hartford-Springfield High Speed Rail Project
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State of Connecticut has been awarded $30 million in federal funding for the third phase of the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield (NHHS) high-speed intercity passenger rail project. The money is part of the $2 billion that the U.S. Department of Transportation opened for applications in March after it was declined by Florida Governor Rick Scott.
